Happy Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving....Although we no longer have Sam in our lives, he is always in our hearts. We are grateful for this little boy dog who came into our lives and filled us with love, joy and laughter.
As you can see he enjoyed helping his dad break bread for the turkey stuffing. He liked testing the dried stale bread, but he really loved testing it when the butter,  celery, onion  and salt/pepper were added. He always made sure his dad did it just right..

Blessings and love to all our friends and family.

The 4th Sunday at Parkview - Expect the Unexpected

Our 4th Sunday at Parkview was spectacular.
Connecting With the Center

Blessed

Beloved

 Called

 Sent

Expect the Unexpected

The chairs at our church were set-up to create a Labyrinth. Generally there are 3 stages to the walk: releasing on the way in, receiving in the center and returning when you follow the return path back out of the labyrinth. Symbolically and sometimes actually, you are taking back out into the world that which you have received.
I feel very blessed to be able to create the center piece for the services at our Church. Furtunately I had Pastor Steve's help with this one. He has such vision. (You can actually see him in the botton picture at the upper right. He was very busy before the service begaan.
Well I wanted to share because our 4th Sundays at Parkview are always true to their statement "Expect the Unexpected"

Bless You all and have a great day...
P.S. Card sample coming. I have to take the picture. It's one I created for the swap I do each month

Love you all

October Stamp Camp

This is the first card we created, It's a 3x3 card. I used the new pewter embossing powder.
This card was created with the gold embossing powder and then I used the sponge dauber using pool party, cajun craze and more mustard.
This card has a special fold and was so very simple. Although I think everybody thought it was going to be so difficult.

If you'd like the information on these cards, please send me an e-mail and I'll forward the information.

Have a great evening and Blessings to everybody

2010 Fall Card

This card was created last year for one of my stamp camps. I had such a good time doing this, except it was a little difficult getting the windows cut evenly.
Have a great fall day

Another Fall Card

I love fall, it's like I can't wait to get out the more mustard, cajun craze, old olive, pumpkin pie and all those wonderful rich colors.
Today I did a workshop and since it was the first time for most of the ladies, we did some of the Simply Sent card and then created this card so they could get their hands on real stamping. I had a wonderful time and hope all the ladies did too and they become as adicted as I am to stamping....It's a great stress reliever.
Here is the card we created using Always Thankful from the new Holiday Mini Catalog. If you'd like more information, please send me an e-mail.
Thank you all for looking and Blessings to everybody

Fall Card

This is the fall card I created for a swap I'm doing. I had a great time creating this card because there is lots of cutting and I truly love cutting paper. Enjoy and Blessings to Everybody

September Class Projects

My September Classes is always fun because I transition from summer to fall and I love the fall colors.
This first card is my Halloween card...It was so much fun once I got the clear embossing powder and not the white. Funny how putting white embossing powder on black craft ink can really change the look of a black hat.

The next card is actually a card I copied from one of the ladies I swap with each month. She truly saved me so much time and my class loved this card. I will add her name to night when I get home, but wanted to thank her for her beautiful card.
My last card is one I created myself. I used Not Quite Navy and Cajun Craze...I love those colors together. There is a lot of cutting on this card, but I think it is so worth it.

Thank you all for checking out my blog and have a great day

Projects For Church

Saturday I spent making flowers and bookmarks for Rally Day at our church. The flowers were used for a special prayer time and the bookmarks were used for the re-dedication of our library. So here are the pictures.
Here are the flowers. Each person who had a special prayer, would go to that prayer station and say a prayer and then place the flower in the bag. Sort of like when you light a candle but not as dangerous.
This picture is from our re-dedication of the library at our church. We had some really incredible people work very hard to get everything categorized and arranged so perfectly. On the frong is our church name, address and phone # (used a stamp I purchased from Stampin' Up!, inside the 3x3 note card, is the bookmark which has a picture of our church that I downloaded from our website. http://www.parkviewucc.org/
Have a great day and Blessings to everybody

Cards from July Stamp Camp

This card was one of the make and takes from convention this year. Pretty cute and so different from my usual style. Loved the change.

This card is a 3x3 and was so easy and fun. We used the new Island Indigo In Color Card Stock.

This card was created using one of the swaps I got at convention. I added a few things and changed the color. I think this was everybody's favorite.

These 3 cards were created at my July Stamp Camp.

If you have any questions about the product used, please check out my Stampin Up Blog at

Have a great day and God Bless

Home from Convention and Still In A Daze

Hi Everybody
I'm home from convention, and still on cloud 9. I'm finishing up my make-and-takes and getting ready for this weekend's Stamp Camp and I can't wait to just talk and talk and talk about all the fun I had and all I learned.

But I think it's time for show and tell. I love sharing the pictures and here are some more. This first picture was created by one of the demonstrators. I couldn't believe the work she put into it and I hope to do one too! Looks like a fun project.

This was one of the displays. It's done with the SU Fabric.

This display was at the Spanish Booth and I thought was so darn cute.  Stampin' Up! offers a special catalog for Spanish Speaking Stampers or anybody who has a friend who speaks Spanish, what a wonderful way to send them a greeting. I have this catalog if anybody is interested in purchasing some stamp sets from this book.

Well my day is almost over and work comes early, so I will say goodnight and post more tomorrow. Don't forget that my Stamp Camp is this weekend and I'd love to have you there. Send me an e-mail at LDEstampin@yahoo.com

Blessings

Oval Frame Mini Purses

These cute little purses were created using the sample and tutorial from Becky Roberts. They are created using the Big Shot Oval Scallop Frame die cut and the medium flower on the Fun Flower Die Cut. The DSP is Beyond the Garden and then the base colors are Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.
The flowers were run through the crimper 20-30 times and then crushed and crushed some more so the paper would break down and I could split one piece of card stock into 2 and on the Tangerine Tango, it actually broke down to 3 layers. This is such an easy and fun project.
Thank you Becky for your great tutorial

Flower Floret

These are 3x3 cards created using the Flower Floret stamp set. I used the Linen Whisper White, stamped the flower in versa-mark, embossed with whisper white and then sponged Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi on the edges of the embossed part. I then used the Tangerine Tango Embossing powder on whisper white and sponged daffodil yellow and tangerine tango on the flower.
I placed some pearls randomly on the card.
So quick and fun

May Stamp Camp Projects

We did 3 projects this month. 2 Cards and 1 Scrapbook page

This card was created using he new Stampin' Up! Flower Fest and their new embossing powder, Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo. Lot of cutting with the leaves, but the butterfly punch and 2 3/8 scallop punch really came in handy, plus the oval punch and the square accent folder were used to create this card.

The next card was created using the new Open Sea Stamp Set and
the Designer Series Paper Nautical Expedition.
This card was easy, but a little difficult for a class to do. There was a lot of changing colors which meant we had to be really careful before stamping.

This next project is a 6x6 scrapbook page We used the Strength and Hope stamp set that is available through August 31st and $2.00 of the sales will go to Breast Cancer Research.
What a super deal.
Hope you Enjoy these projects. If you have any questions, please send me an e-mail at LDEstampin@yahoo.com

Thank you for looking and have a great day

Blessings
